Wow! It's been a long time since my last post. My apologies, but I have been crazy busy, I promise to blog with more frequency.
Anyways, I am at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009... in Vegas baby! On Monday I attended a seminar on how the Associated Press uses Office 2010 as well as SharePoint. What really struck me is that 1/3 of Microsoft Word's functionality was actually created by the AP. They developed Word into the perfect tool.
You may be wondering what they did exactly, and the most significant difference is the top of every new document has numerous fields for meta data. This includes the long title, short title, date, by-line, etc. How they did this was a little beyond me, but Office 2010 evidently made it very easy.
In other news from the conference, I lost $60 at the blackjack tables Tuesday night, not bad, but frustrating when you take into account I was up to $100 at one point. Oh well.
Until next time.
