Hello and welcome to my blog,
My point here is to let people know that there is more to an intern than getting coffee and shinning my boss’s shoes (which I happily never have to do). We have ideas and opinions too you know! On my blog I will discuss the things that go through an interns head as well as marketing and entrepreneurship topics.
A business is like a new born baby and must be cared for and taught depending on its prominent characteristics and personality traits. Windward for example is a service company that offers a new and unique type of technology. Think of us as your ridiculously smart friend that helps fix your computer every time you feel like chucking it out the window. So in my opinion the best way to take care of our Baby named Windward is though emotional and viral branding. Emotional Branding is the process of giving your company a personality that can help people relate and build relationships with the business. Especially with high-involvement service companies, people need to feel comfortable going to you for help, like a best friend that can talk you through situations. As for Viral Branding, it is all about motivating the right customers to be an supporter for the brand. This is essential for technology companies that live or die by what people say about them on the information super highway. Just like middle school gossip, word of mouth on the internet travels fast and can make or break your reputation. In my opinion Windward is the only Reporting Software Company to show it can be personable and that it has some character. Both the Cubicle Wars video and Enemy Nations game both show that we are not software reporting robots. We see ourselves as a being a fun place to work full of people that actually believe in the product, and hope you can see us that way too. Thanks for reading.
Intern lesson of the Day:
Don't be quiet, cause then people might start to think you are the creepy guy at work.
